It was discovered in 1998 that i had very high blood presure at 200/110 and have since been on 3 diff pills a day to control it. they did and ekg and after all this time (a new doctor) was reviewing my medical file and indicated that the ekg from 1998 showed heart damage. (this is exactly what he said.) This shocked me after all this time and i didn't really ask any questions. He didnt seem concerned but now he is sending me for another ekg. My question is, can the damage to my heart from the high blood pressure be repaired/improved? What kind of damage is he talking about? I really feel like a fool to call him now and ask questions. I don't go back for another blood pressure check for 4 months as i have a digtal monitor i use at home. Help!
