i have started taking amilodipine bacylate 2.5 md/day for my bp which was discovered to be high recently.
(in the region of 160/100 or 150/90) with cholesterol which was also on the higher side though not in the high risk category.
now i read that this drug increases risk of getting a heart attack & breast cancer . i am confused & also concerned
because i was on contraceptive tablets for 14 years . here we are not encouraged to ask the doctor technical questions
& so i want to know whether my doubts are valid & i am justified in asking for clarifications from him
