In Reply to: EAT BANANAS TO AVOID BLOOD PRESSURE PROBLEMS posted by Jai Maharaj
the first time i tried potassium gluconate it drove my bp up 20 points.
then i found a pill which had other K stuff. i took it for a while but i
didn't see any great effect.
since potassium is available in many foods (not just bananas) i don't
see the relevance of pushing potassium as a cure for HTN.
BTW, potassium gluconate is in bananas and i don't eat them anymore
either. i concluded that there must be some differences in the sources
of K that effect BP, more than the lowering effect of K.
regards.
